Yesterday was our performance for "The dumb waiter", which we performed in the theatre in front of other performing art students who also had performances of their own.
I think my group done well considering we did not know much about the play and that it was quite and old play so some words are different to now. Most of us where able to remember our lines so we was ready for the performance.
Personally I think I could've done better. I knew my lines but I stuttered quite a lot at the beginning causing me to look not as well prepared. Acting on stage in front of several people did get me kind of nervous but as I have already performed in front of them for "identity" I had a bit more of confidence to do so as I had already experienced it at least once.

Confidence: In terms of confidence I still don't feel 100% confident whist acting on stage, however I do feel my level of confidence has improved a lot since when I first started. In the performance 'identity' I was able to experience for the first time what it felt like to act on stage in front of an audience, it was a great experience as I enjoyed it and as it helped boost my level of confidence on stage up a lot. For the performance 'The dumb waiter' I felt ready and no as nervous to act as I'm slowly starting to get used to an audience.
Voice Projection: I found my voice projection harder to deliver in 'The dumb waiter' as I did in 'Identity'. This is because for 'The dumb waiter' the language used is quite different to the language we use now so it was a bit more challenging for me to speak, especially when I had to memorise my lines. Where as in 'Identity' the scenes were created by students in our groups so it was more of a now a day things which is easier.
Body language & gestures: I personally think everyone done good in terms of body language and gestures as we did practice them a lot. For the individuals that played the role of Ben had a different body language to the one Gus did. In the play Ben is superior to Gus meaning he acts like the leader so his body language had to be sort of showing that he was the boss, that he was dominant. The idea was to let the audience know what was going on and who was who and I think they were able to distinguish who was who. I played the role of Ben so I was supposed to appear as I was careless to what Gus would say or as if everything he was saying would annoy me and I think based on my body language, gestures and facial expressions I showed the audience that I was Ben.
Control: I feel like I had good control because at the beginning of my lines I stuttered a bit but I managed to ignore it, keep focus and continue in character.

Overall, I think I did good but could do better next time.
